A Canine Cancer Resource.
Inspired by one dog’s extraordinary journey, this space is dedicated to hope, education, and the unbreakable connection between dogs and their humans – a bond that lives on, even after goodbye.
Learn About Canine Liver CancerWhy a seemingly silly name for a serious topic?
Because cancer is awful enough. And we wanted this site to do more than just provide information – we wanted it to carry some of Gunner’s spirit.
The name comes from his ever-evolving nicknames: He started as Gunner and at some point acquired the middle name Turbo, which turned into Turbs and finally led to Burbs. Burbs somehow perfectly captured his sass, charm, and lightheartedness. That same personality inspired this site: a space that faces the devastating reality of canine cancer with knowledge, heart, and a little bit of levity.
So yes, a silly name for a serious site. But if a nickname can bring even a tiny spark of light into the darkness of cancer, why not?
Besides, we'll let the content speak for itself.

He was given months. He gave us years.
Read the story about a dog who defied the odds, regularly hiking a leg on canine cancer and fighting vigorously to stay with us. Proving that a diagnosis couldn’t define him, Gunner lived fully, led boldly, and loved deeply. His journey is the reason this site exists.
